Wednesday, 2 September 2020 - 4:00pm to 4:30pm

Join kids author, teacher and stand-up comedian, Oliver Phommavanh when he talks to us about his soon to be released collection of short stories, 'Brain Freeze'.

During this special after-school online event, discover what inspires Oliver's stories and how he draws ideas from his own life.

Oliver will share his passion for writing, using his experience as a primary school teacher, but it's his humour and high energy that will keep young audiences engaged and help ignite their own creativity.

If you love the likes of quirky authors Paul Jennings and Morris Gleitzman, this is an event not to be missed!

Oliver Phommavanh loves to make people laugh, whether it’s on the page writing humour for kids or on stage as a stand-up comedian. His first book 'Thai-riffic!' was published in 2010 and he hasn't stopped writing since, releasing another eight titles (soon to be nine), which are all available to borrow or reserve from your local library.

Even though this is an online event, registrations are still required. An email will be sent out to attendees 48 hours before the event with details on how to join via Microsoft Teams. Make sure to also check your junk/spam folder and if you don't receive an email  (or if you book within two hours of the event starting) please contact us for assistance.
