Composting is an easy way of recycling food and garden waste into a nutrient rich natural fertilizer that your vegetables, herbs and flowering plants will love. It is also an important step to reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill and greenhouse gas production associated with organic material in landfills.

This workshop covers all the do’s and don’ts of composting , and demonstrates how easy and fun composting can be to do.

The 90 minute webinar will provide

  • easy step by step instruction on how to become a successful composter
  • practical demonstrations of composting methods
  • trouble shooters overview on common composting problems
  • information about the importance of composting for the health of your garden and the health of the planet
  • visual demonstration of various composting methods
  • Q&A

Quick tips for Joining our online events via Microsoft Teams:

  1. Download the Microsoft Teams app on your device (you do not need to sign up in order to participate)
  2. Close app completely
  3. Go to settings and allow Teams to use your microphone and camera
  4. Click on Join Microsoft Teams Meeting link sent from the library
  5. Click ‘Join as guest’ – you do not need to register or sign into a MS Teams account to participate (remember to only use your first name when joining the meeting).
