ESL Reading Buddies volunteers needed

Reading Buddies is a literacy program for primary aged children. Volunteers listen to children practice their reading in the library after school. There are currently vacancies for adult volunteers in this highly popular program. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please contact 4304 7337.

ESL meet and greet

The ESL meet and greet conversation group meets on Tuesdays at Gosford Library. Come and practice general English conversation in a relaxed setting in the library. This is not a formal class, but a chance to practice conversation. No bookings are required. Light refreshments provided. For more information please contact Gosford Library on 4304 7​500.

Knitting groups

Join us at one of our knitting groups.

  • Knit 'n' Knatter group meet at Bateau Bay Library on the second and fourth Friday of the month from 10am.
  • Knitwits meet at Tuggerah Library on the first Friday of each month from 9am.
  • Lake Haven Library on the first and third Saturday on the month, 10am-1pm.
  • The Entrance Library every Wednesday, 10am-12pm.
  • Toukley Library the second and fourth Friday of the month, 10am-12pm.
  • Umina Library Knitters meet every Monday and Thursday from 10am.

Colour me Calm - Colouring in for Adults!

Join our informal group for an hour or two of relaxing colouring in! We provide the designs and pencils or you can bring your own.

Kings of War

Kings of War is a tabletop war game where two groups of teams compete against each other with armies of miniatures or take control of heroes on perilous adventures. Whether just to watch or join in, come along to our fun and social monthly sessions at Lake Haven or Tuggerah Libraries. Call 4350 1570 or 4350 1560 for more information.

All ages sessions are held every four weeks at Tuggerah Library on a Saturday and start at 12 noon.
