Gosford

Experience Gosford in a new way as you explore the city.

Follow a timeline artwork wrapped around the old Gosford Library that traces its rich history. This outdoor installation highlights the moments and milestones that helped shape the heart of the Central Coast.

Inside the new Gosford Regional Library, local historians bring these stories to life, sharing insights, surprising details and the lesser‑known chapters that deepen your understanding of the places just outside the door, more details below.

It’s an open invitation to slow down, wander on foot and see Gosford through a fresh lens - one story at a time.

Wyong

Walking tours

Explore the rich history of Wyong town centre though a guided walking tour conducted by Wyong Family History Group or a self-guided tour.

As part of Australian Heritage Festival, take a fascinating guided walking tour around historic Wyong learning about its establishment and development since 1887. The guided tours will be hosted by the Wyong Family History Group and will give you a peek into life in Wyong over 100 years ago.

Commencing from 4 Railway Square next to Wyong Train Station, the tour takes about 90 minutes passing most of the town’s historic buildings along the way. The walk will follow the Pacific Highway, before heading up Alison Road and finishing on Margaret Street at the Post Office. Your guides have photographs of early Wyong which make the learning experience more enjoyable.

Afterwards, you may like to take some time to read about Wyong's history further on our historical signs, stop for lunch at one of the town’s many eateries or browse some of the unique stores in the heart of the town centre.

Places are limited to 20 people per tour and tickets are $5 per person (plus service fee and tax) and are redeemable for a small coffee/hot drink at one of the participating Wyong cafe's:
