Welcome to Laycock Street Community Theatre, we’re looking forward to you joining us soon.

Before your visit, we’d like to share some information with you to make your experience comfortable and COVID-safe.

Virtual Box Office

Tickets requests are via our Virtual Box Office, simply email laycockstreettheatre@centralcoast.nsw.gov.au (specifying the event name, number of tickets requested and a contact phone number).

You’ll be placed in a virtual queue and a member of the box office team will call to allocate tickets and take payment in order of ticket requests received. 

Seat allocation and ticketing

Tickets will be allocated in accordance with NSW Government social distancing measures and in line with Laycock Street Community Theatre's COVID Safety Plan. Upon booking, 2 seats will be left vacant between groups, to enable each group to be appropriately distanced. Although you may not be able to sit directly beside all members of your group, our Box Office team will allocate the next available COVID-safe seating bubble to your group.

Wheelchair seating is still available by contacting the Box Office. 

Please do not move seats, before or during the event.

Theatre capacity

In accordance with NSW Government regulations on capacities for indoor venues, and in line with Laycock Street Community Theatre's COVID Safety Plan, the total theatre capacity is reduced.

Paperless and cashless Box Office

Digital tickets will be sent to your nominated email address at the time of booking, simply show your digital ticket to the usher on your mobile phone, no need to print the tickets!

To help keep patrons and staff safe, we ask that you make payment with a credit or debit card.

COVID-safe cleaning practices

In accordance with the NSW Government, Safe Work Australia and Laycock Street Community Theatre's COVID Safety Plan, we have implemented additional cleaning measures. This includes but is not limited to regular touch-point cleansing and disinfecting, before, during and after your visit. Please note bio-fogging will occur daily overnight, following evening events.

Upon arrival

Doors will open one hour before the event begins, we encourage you to arrive with suitable time to check in and be seated comfortably to enjoy the performance.

Please practise social distancing and adhere to signs, floor markings and advice from our team to keep everyone COVID-safe.

Use the hand sanitising stations as you arrive and during your experience using the hand sanitiser provided throughout our venue.

QR code check in

Have your mobile phone ready when you arrive to use the QR code at the venue entry. One person from each household will need to scan the QR code to check in and show the verification tick to our staff. Patrons without a mobile phone will be manually checked in.

Bar and kiosk

Although our Theatre bar and kiosk is temporarily closed, please feel free to bring a bottle of water or non-alcoholic drink with you to enjoy in theatre. Hot drinks and food are not permitted in the auditorium.

Extended interval of 30 minutes

Some events may not have an interval, for those that do, interval will be extended to 30 minutes to allow time for patrons to exit/enter the theatre and use the restroom.

At the conclusion of the event

Laycock Street Theatre auditorium has four exit points, please utilise the closest exit to leave the theatre at the conclusion of the event. Please continue to practise social distancing upon leaving our venue. We encourage you to return to your vehicle and avoid congregating inside or outside the venue.

Ticket exchanges/refunds

In line with NSW Government advice, if you are feeling unwell, are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, awaiting COVID test results, or have recently returned from overseas or a COVID Hotspot, please do not attend the theatre.

You will be able to receive a credit/gift certificate for the value of the ticket for use at Laycock Street Community Theatre (valid for 3 years).

Please contact our Box Office by email (laycockstreettheatre@centralcoast.nsw.gov.au) or by telephone (02 4323 3233), no later than 4 hours prior to the commencement of the performance. Alternatively, you can give your ticket to someone else to attend the event.

If an event is cancelled or rescheduled due to COVID-19, the ticket buyer will be entitled to exchange their ticket to the new event date or receive a full refund when they are contacted by our Box Office team at the time of cancellation.
