School Visits

School visits to the Gosford Regional Gallery are a great way to engage students in art and culture. A typical full-day excursion for schools can cost as little as $13 per student and include a guided tour of current exhibitions and the Edogawa Commemorative Garden, as well as an art-making workshop facilitated by a professional artist.

Workshops include:

  • Japanese printing
  • Koi fish kites
  • native clay animals
  • Aboriginal art
  • self-portraits.

Primary schools

Our Schools Education Program is a great way to engage primary students in art and culture, and links with the NSW Visual Art Syllabus for years K – 6. Primary School visits are tailored to suit students in Stages 1 - 3. This full-day excursion helps to cover units on Asian Studies and art making and is also a lot of fun for both students and teachers.

Secondary schools

We are happy to tailor an excursion specific to the needs of secondary school students, whether it is a tour focused on a specific exhibition or art-making workshops facilitated by a professional artist, such as Japanese printing, Koi fish kites, native clay animals, Aboriginal art or self-portraits. Many of our major exhibitions also have education kits available.
