Worm farming is an easy way of recycling food into a nutrient rich natural fertilizer that your vegetables, herbs and flowering plants will love. It is also an important step to reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill and greenhouse gas production associated with organic material in landfills.

This workshop covers all the do’s and don’ts of worm farming , and demonstrates how easy and fun looking after worms can be - kids will love it..

The 90 minute webinar will provide

  • easy step by step instruction on how to become a successful worm farmer
  • practical demonstrations of setting up a worm farm
  • how to look after your worms so that they thrive, breed and eat your vegetable scraps
  • trouble shooters overview on common worm farming problems
  • information about the importance of recycling organic waste is for the health of your garden and the health of the planet
  • visual demonstration of various worm farm set ups

Quick tips for Joining our online events via Microsoft Teams:

  1. Download the Microsoft Teams app on your device (you do not need to sign up in order to participate)
  2. Close app completely
  3. Go to settings and allow Teams to use your mic
  4. Click on Join Microsoft Teams Meeting link sent from the library
  5. Click ‘Join as guest’ – you do not need to register or sign into a MS Teams account to participate (remember to only use your first name when joining the meeting).
