An interlibrary loans service is available from all library branches for a fee.
- Items requested from NSW public libraries: Fee of $7 per item
- Items requested from non-public libraries: Fee of $28.50 per item plus a $7 request fee
- Lost or damaged inter library loans: Fee of up to $120 (+GST)
Additional fees may apply as set by Libraries Australia for items sourced from outside the public library system or for urgent items.
Please note that all fees include GST.
How to make a request
To request an item from the interlibrary loans service, just ask the staff at your local branch. Please try to have as much available information as possible concerning details of the publication requested.
How long will it take?
Delivery of items is dependent on a number of factors, including the accuracy of the details provided, location of the item, availability and the time spent in transit. Usually, requests are satisfied within Australia, in a period of between five and 20 working days.
