The Home Library Service delivers and exchanges library items to eligible Library customers on a regular basis.
This free service exists to provide library materials to Library members (and/or their carers) who - through reasons including disability, chronic physical or mental illness, fragility or limited mobility - are unable to access the Library in person, either temporarily or permanently.
There are no age restrictions on this service.
Home Library Service visits can be made to individual customers at their home or in care facilities. Regular bulk deliveries to care facilities can also be arranged.
All borrowing materials available through the Central Coast Library Service are available through the Home Library Service.
- Fiction and Non Fiction books (including large print)
- Material in community languages
- Audio books and MP3s
- Music CDs
- Electronic Resources such as eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, eMusic and information databases are also available via the Library’s website (ask us for help accessing these if required)
If you are interested in receiving this service please contact your local Central Coast Library Service branch or the Home Library Operators. We will then talk with you to develop a personal profile of what you want to read, watch or listen to, based on your preferences.
