Jirramba Reserve local playspace at Saratoga has been renewed to provide an improved and engaging space for local families to play and connect.

The existing play equipment was replaced with a new natural/coastal inspired themed playspace with new turf and rubber softfall and an accessible concrete loop track pathway connecting to the existing park furniture, toilet amenities and playspace.  New trees have been planted to provide natural shade over the playspace.

Central Coast Council Administrator, Rik Hart said this renewed local playspace at Saratoga is a great example of a safe and engaging community space where children can play and locals of all ages can connect and socialise.

“The design of this playspace embraces the whole of park approach, with the new play equipment complementing and connecting to the park furniture, picnic tables, toilet amenities with grassed areas under the shade of mature trees,” Mr Hart said.

“Funding from the Australian Government, and additional financial contribution from the 3 Villages Community Group Inc has enabled Council to deliver on our community’s vison for activated open spaces and facilities in natural settings, with improved accessibility.”

This playspace project is funded by the Australian Government with $105,000 from the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program, with additional funding of $9,000 from 3 Villages Community Group Inc to fund circulation concrete path loop track around new playspace. The LRCI program supports local Councils to deliver priority local road and community infrastructure projects across Australia, supporting jobs and the resilience of local economies to help communities bounce back from the COVID-19 pandemic.
