The head-turning classic American car is the stuff dreams are made of. When you combine classic chrome with rock ‘n’ roll, vintage glamour and our beautiful Central Coast, you have quite a weekend on your hands.
ChromeFest returns this October for a bustling, and very shiny, tribute to classic American autos, hot-rods and everything 1950s and 60s.
Soak up the beauty of over 400 show cars on display – see your reflection in the shine as you get up close and personal with these majestic machines at the iconic car displays. Line the streets to watch these classic cars cruise by and be amazed at the not to be missed Lowriders display.
Shine your shoes, practice your dance moves and enjoy entertainment on four outdoor stages boasting undercover dancefloors, pamper yourself at one of the workshops, watch the dance demonstrations, line-up in the vintage glamour fashion parade, check out the retro market stalls, see who gets crowned Pinup Doll Australia or just soak up the atmosphere and enjoy this nostalgic festival – there is something for everyone.
Speaking of vintage glamour, the Set and Brush Out Workshop is an opportunity for the gals to master the perfect 50s or 60s ‘updo’. Learn to create the Poodle hairstyle made famous by Lucille Ball, the Gibson roll at the back, Victory Rolls and the Bumper Bangs (a quick and easy technique that gives that Bettie Page look).
ChromeFest is a free event presented by Central Coast Council. It runs across three days from Friday 25 October to Sunday 27 October at The Entrance.
