Pressure cleaning garden beds

The retaining walls that line West Street in Umina Beach have been given a high pressure clean. After arranging for all the town centre streets across The Peninsula to be high pressure cleaned, Council arranged for the cleaners to enter the town centres at night and high pressure clean 16 retaining walls located on most corners of West Street. This drastically changed the aesthetics of the streetscape and brightened the footpath for pedestrians and drivers.

New Bike Racks

New bike racks have been installed at Umina Beach in response to business owner feedback and to promote active living, enhance public domain and encourage cyclists to stop and spend at local eateries and shops. The new custom designed bike racks at Umina are installed on the corner of West Street and Trafalgar Avenue. Bike racks have also been installed at Woy Woy and Ettalong to improve the connectivity between Peninsula town centres

Garden bed upgrades

Lilly Pillies have been planted along Memorial Avenue, Ettalong to brighten the streetscape. New garden beds were installed in Ettalong to upgrade the existing dangerous and unsightly garden beds and create an ideal space for new semi-mature Lilly Pillies to be planted. The Lilly Pillies provide a pop of colour to the streetscape and have improved the aesthetics of the town centre.
