We are taking precautionary measures to protect staff and the community against the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). As such we have made the unfortunate decision to postpone this event.

We encourage you to stay up-to-date with the latest information and advice from NSW Health

Or visit for the latest information on interruptions to Council events and Services.

We are offering 10 young people the opportunity to take part in a free skateboard building workshop designed to expand the skate skills of young people in the Toukley area.

The new ‘Build Me Skate Deck’ workshop will offer a unique opportunity for youth to design artwork and build a skateboard that they get to keep. Participants will be guided through the six-session workshop to create and apply artwork for the skate deck and install the trucks and wheels.

Once the skateboards are built, participants will benefit from a free skills development workshop with our partners Slam Factory Tuggerah, to test-run their new boards and develop their riding skills.

The ‘Build Me Skate Deck’ workshop will be held at Toukley Neighbourhood Centre for six consecutive weeks starting on Wednesday 4 March through to 8 April, 3.30pm – 4.30pm. Participants must be able to attend all six sessions of the workshop.

The workshop is open to young males and females aged 12-18 who live in the Greater Toukley area. Selection will be based on the first 10 people to complete the application who meet the eligibility criteria.

Applications for the workshop close on 2 March 2020.

The workshop follows on from the successful Central Coast Series Skate, Scooter and BMX events and the Bowl Groms skills development workshop held annually across the Central Coast.
