Bikers Hand holds Community Champion title

Our newest Community Champions are The Bikers Hand, led by Mechelle and Tony Davis. 

These two bike enthusiasts share a passion for charity rides and formed the idea for The Bikers Hand 10 years ago that would go on to become a respected local charity making a difference in the lives of people who need it most.

This incredible group also won Council’s Australia Day Community Group Award in 2025, which is testimony to the scope of their outreach work, and their impact in our community. 

The Bikers Hand works with partners like MasterFoods, San Remo, SheShed, SecondBite, Foodbank to collect donations, and supports over 100 local charities, including Mary Mac’s Place, Vinnies, SafeLink Alliance, Faith in Action Ministries, Reach Homeless Centre, Wildlife Animal Rescue, So Cares, neighbourhood centres, schools and more.

They help families stock their kitchens, fill kids’ school lunchboxes, feed pets, assist homeless people, bring joy with presents at Christmas time, raise funds for special causes, assist at community events and so much more.  

The Bikers Hand extends a ‘helping hand’ to anyone who needs it, and we’re truly grateful to Tony, Mechelle, the Bikers Hand Board, and their dedicated team of volunteers who are making a significant contribution to our community.

The Bikers Hand are very worthy Community Champions, and they have our gratitude and appreciation.
